Can you please provide me the solution for Bread Crumbs navigation.

My requirement is:

HomeDashboard>Dashboard1>Dashboard2>Dashboard3>Dashboard4>Current Dashboard

this has to change dynamically based on selecting user

Can you just tell me about this how to implement this and what is the java script for this

Hi Sunil,

This is a very good informative Blog. Appreciate your Good Work.
I need your help in one of the requirement.
I wanted to implement the Bread Crumbs.
Below is my requirement.
Requirement:
Suppose we have one dashboard and one page is there which has got Analysis named Analysis_1
We have action link on Column_1 in this analysis which navigate to Analysis_2 report.
So when we are on Analysis_2 report page, just on top of the report it should show breadcrumb like below
Analysis_1 >> Analysis_2
Likewise it should go on till we can drill down ….
Analysis_1 >> Analysis 2 >> Analysis_3 >> Anyalysis_4 ……..
All these should have links so that while we are on Anylysis_3 or Anaylysis_4 and we want to go to Analysis_2 back then user just needs to click on the link given in above breadcrumb and it should open Analysis_2 report …..that’s it.

Kindly Suggest.

Hi Sunil,

Is it possible to change the port# during installation? I am trying to install 11.1.1.5 on XP machine which already has Obiee 10g. Any feedback would be appreciated.

I am glad you had a terrific year…… OBIEE 11G was a great improvement on 10G… but migration from 10G to 11G has had its share of woes… Since 11G has a new charting engine, some of the old functionality no longer works on 11G…. I do enjoy your postings…. Good luck and keep on posting

We migrated from OBIEE 10g to 11g…..11.1.1.5….. We had several session variables / initialization blocks and they seemed to have been migrated ok… but when I tried to create a new session variable for a new initialization (whose connection pool was already linked to a different initialization block), I ran into the same problem that Sunil just explained. I followed his instrucitons (thanks a lot for that) and it is working alright… However I need to make sure that this is not going to cause performance issues. Is this a bug in OBIEE ?
